self vetting for a better tomorrow
the most challenging week has begun. While similtaniously attacking two major business initiatives at once I have to catch up on graduate school. By attempts to lengthen the day to 28 hours have failed and so we turn to the claasical approach - time management and no sleep. As always, we must look at tasks as rewards, and fun challenges.
On the CMP front we are looking at the most serious initiative yet, hiring of a paid full time executive advisor/manager. Ideally a seasoned professional who will build a new book of business within the private wealth/asset management space, recruit on active needs and maintain a steady flow of new recruits. GLOnet allows us to sustain an unlimited number of advisors. I am speaking to three such gentlemen and hope to make a final decision by midweek.
At the same time I am looking to piblisize my first public website release in 6 years- cmp.jobs. A first test of GLO live feeds, it streams jobs from GLOnet's applicant tracking system (VCR). For that task I hired Danie, as a full time marketing/pr manager. She will he responsible for building unpaid, recurring traffic base. Seo, spiders, press releases, print, link exchanges,etc. Today is her first day.
The expenses of this breakneck expansion are weighing down my psyche, as we may not see results for sometime. My reasoning is such that now is the time for opportunity. With markets crashing, so are service oriented firms, staffing especially. A lot of previously unavailable talent is coming out onto the market. The potential of the people's productivity warrants bug moves and risks. Therefore I am seriously starting to look into capital building via investment or loans. That will require an executive summary and forecasting, another task (reward!).
This week holds much premise, as it does anxiety. Again I am faced with a decision to bet it all. As many of my former poker opponents may know I am no stranger to going all in. The nuts!
And so, onward and upward!

Thanks! The GUI design is good, except I wanted a search box from CMP3 (across the screen, between header and seach results). You should definitely make the header smaller to give more space to the actual listings. The top portion should include the main banner as well as a flash intro about CMP, followed by some non-intruding flash loop. As I said yesterday I should be able to edit, add or remove the boxes/widgets on the right side. Other than that, please go ahead and start integrating everything.
I checked out the backend programming. There are a few questions. I didn’t see the ajax-enabled live search (similar to google desktop or windows vista search). The columns can only be sorted descending and not ascending. I did see the filter search box but it seems you have to go through the column heading to get there? However it does work well. Same with column checkboxes. Will those two be visible on right on the page in the final design? By the way there should be a checkbox for every field from GLO_Job table, as indicated in the spec, I will take the ones not needed out.
Also, if a user is recognized by a cookie or logged in, the table should show HIS jobs first, jobs he’s matched to under ReqMatches table (candID, reqID, status). Sectioned away from the rest
On the login page, why is there a field of resume upload?

where things stand Mar 5, 2008
Yes, it's been some time, a few minutes or 7 months, really depends which way you look at it. It seems as though my brain has been rapidly developing and maturing over the past year as I actually seem to know what I am doing, at least sometimes. The mission is more clear and it turned out to be much deeper. So it's taken some time to work out the kinks like basics of sales, negotiation, structured business building, time organization, research methods, human behavior and corporate social interaction, etc.
I will be posting a series of blogs on Life Warrior: Documenting the Rise of the New World Order, Part 1: Corporate Warrior 2007: Project CMP, Act 1: Starting from Scratch and with no Capital. In other words some notes on starting up a company. The link is on the right.
Here is where things stand right now.
- I am in month 7 of my start up, Capital Markets Placement, LLC and Strategic Partner Network.
- Coming on 3 years for the GLO Live Staffing Network which now comprimises of a Live Job board/Candidate exchange, applicant tracking system, vendor management solution, technology social network and a consulting franchise.
- Moving the TradeSol, a trading system consulting firm from plan into it's reality.
- Started work on 'RoadRage: True Rules of the Road' book.
I will try my best to keep adding posts on modern enlightenment, business and politics just because there is so many crazies out there and they all be talkin' nonsense, essay.

RozLife important notice
Thanks to everyone for being so bored as to come to this page and listen to my rumblings.
Please note that I will be moving my personal and business adventures to a private blog. Because the scope of the projects is growing and there are more and more people being involved I cannot discuss matters of a personal nature as it may serve as a detriment to my goals and just plain old cause problems.
